Bob’s Punch

By - Jun 25th, 2010 04:00 am

Yesterday on Backstage, Mark chatted with Bob Biermann, a veteran bartender whom you’ll find five days a week at My Office in downtown Milwaukee. As Mark put it, My Office is a “bar bar,” meaning that it’s your average beer-and-a-shot type of place, where you can belly up to a domestic tap or perhaps a brandy Old Fashioned (with cherries, of course!), plug a few dollars into the jukebox and watch the game (or, in Bob’s case, crack wise with the bartender).

For this week’s Happy Hour accompaniment, Bob offers up one incarnation of a recipe he calls “Bob’s Punch.” He serves it up regularly at My Office, but like Grandma’s Famous Cookies, the recipes is never the same twice. He likes to keep it interesting.

Bob’s Punch

1 count of Smirnoff Citrus Vodka (this is one way to separate “mixologists” from everyday bartenders — they dole out booze in “counts” not ounces)
2 counts Smirnoff Blueberry
3 counts Smirnoff Black Cherry
4 counts lemonade
5 counts cranberry juice

Bob’s instructions: 1 count = count to three. Pour all ingredients into a shaker, add ice and shake. Strain into shot glasses and enjoy! (Ed. note: In moderation!)
