Carlo Besasie, finalist in the People’s Choice Pitch Awards
At the American Film Market last fall, Milwaukee filmmaker Carlo Besasie thought it might be fun to pitch one of his feature films — not to a cabal of powerful Hollywood producers, but to the people of the world. And guess what? He’s a finalist for the People’s Choice Awards/AFM pitch contest!
In this brief podcast extra, Carlo and Mark talk about the film Carlo could get the chance to sell to producers if he wins. It’s called All the Queen’s Men, it involves Elton John and a high-profile kidnapping mystery, and it sounds hilarious to me.You can rep Milwaukee and vote for Carlo at the yet-to-be-made movie’s website. And you can vote as many times as you want!
Listen now: Backstage with Carlo Besasie
Voting closes on Jan. 20. Good luck, Carlo!

carlo…are you related to Ray Besasie? Of Excalibur automobile fame?
he helped building a baby-blue one for me…
make that “build.” anyway, it was the only baby-blue Phaeton they ever built..your dad (grandpa?) used to come to my house and change the tire when I had a flat…
Hey Judith!
Yes, my dad is Ray Besasie and did work at Excalibur. If you want to talk more, look me up on Facebook, and we can talk more privately. My name there is Vinnie Besasie. Hope to talk to you soon!
