Dreamgirls, Marcus Center Uihlein Hall, 1/5-1/10
The touring Broadway production of Dreamgirls makes a stop in Milwaukee. Music by Henry Krieger and lyrics and book by Tom Eyen. Broadway director and choreographer Robert Longbottom and co-choreographer Shane Sparks (from TV’s So You Think You Can Dance), along with some of Broadway’s top designers, have re-envisioned this Tony and Academy Award-winning musical. Watch for an interview with one of the cast members from TCD’s Lisa Townsel in the coming days.

Yankee Tavern, Quadracci Powerhouse Theater at The Rep, 1/5-1/31
Billed as “an Alfred Hitchcock meets Oliver Stone edge-of-your-seat thriller,” a graduate student seeks to debunk many of the wilder conspiracy theories surrounding the 9/11 attacks – and then finds himself caught up in one of those very theories in this new play.

The Long and Short of It: A Night with Colin and Paula Cabot, Skylight’s Studio Theatre, 12/31-1/10
Colin Cabot helped to put the Skylight on the map as its former managing and artistic director, and Paula starred in more than 20 productions on the Skylight stage. Together, they will look back on their history with the company as well as provide audiences with a fresh take on selections ranging from Noel Coward to Stephen Sondheim. The special New Year’s Eve show is completely sold out, but tickets are still available for the rest of the show’s run.
