Thanksgiving for Present Music, in pictures and sound
Present Music helds its annual Thanksgiving concert Sunday afternoon at the Cathedral of St. John, and featured new work from Alexandra du Bois. Featured in our five-minute photographic slideshow is audio samples from PM’s sound engineer Marty Butorac and includes the opening and closing prayers by the Bucks Native American Singing and Drumming Group, contributions by The Milwaukee’s Children’s Choir and Milwaukee Choral Artists, and organ work by Karen Baumont. Particular highlights include the strings from Eric Segnitz, Naha Greenholtz, Brek Renzelman, Olga Tuzhilkov, Adrien Zitoun, and Andrew Raciti. The ensemble is rounded out by members Les Thimmig, Steve Ahearn, and Linda Edelstein. Artistic Director Kevin Stalheim conducts, and thanks goes out to Managing Director Eric Lind.
