Rep. Richards Congratulates Wisconsin LGBT Chamber on One-Year Anniversary
Rep. Jon Richards (D-Milwaukee) issued the following statement congratulating the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce on their one-year anniversary and the addition of their 100th member.
“I want to congratulate the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce celebrating their one-year anniversary today. It’s a great accomplishment for the organization to add one hundred members within the first year. As a business owner myself, I am proud to be a part of this great organization.
“The Chamber plays a vital role in promoting equality in the workplace and economic opportunity for LGBT owned and allied businesses. The Chamber’s rapid growth and extensive work in the business community will only continue to expand economic opportunity for local businesses, individuals, and corporations in Wisconsin.
“I want to congratulate their executive director, Jason Rae, on his role in being the catalyst for this great initiative. Jason’s drive and determination have been instrumental to the Chamber’s success.
“I look forward to continuing to work with the Chamber to create new opportunities for businesses in my district and promote the values of fairness and equality in the business community all across Wisconsin.”
