[Milwaukee, Wis.] – Today, the campaign to retain Judge Michelle Havas for Milwaukee Circuit Court Branch 45 announced that she received the endorsement of the Milwaukee Deputy Sheriffs’ Association. This latest endorsement showcases the overwhelming support Judge Michelle Havas has received from Milwaukee’s law enforcement community.

“I am humbled and blessed to receive this endorsement and will continue to work with Milwaukee’s law enforcement community to ensure that we keep our friends, families, and neighbors safe,” said Branch 45 Circuit Court Judge Michelle Havas. “As I sit on a large number of misdemeanor and felony cases, the hard work of our community deputy sheriffs is seen and appreciated in my court every day.”

Adding to the already impressive endorsements by the Milwaukee Police Supervisors Organization, Milwaukee Police Association, and the Milwaukee Professional Fire Fighters Association – Local 215; the Milwaukee Deputy Sheriffs’ Association represents Milwaukee’s Deputy Sheriffs and Sergeants regarding wages, benefits, and working conditions.

Judge Michelle Havas was appointed to the bench in August of 2015 after more than a decade as an Assistant District Attorney in the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office. During her tenure in the District Attorney’s office, she was instrumental in uniting at-risk youth with new foster and adoptive parents, having helped more than 100 families make their daily reality a legal one as they were able to formalize their relationship through adoption. Judge Havas has built her career on the notions of law and order and protecting her community.

The general election is set for April 5, 2015.

  1. Locutus of Candor says:

If Havas were honest and truthful the press release would say she received a “co-endorsement” from the MDSA after hectoring the MDSA to switch their endorsement, which they wouldn’t do. And from her release it seems Havas’ tactics weren’t enough to intimidate the Retired Deputy Sheriffs, who she can’t as easily harass because, well, they’re retired and not in her (or any of the other) courtrooms. Remember, if you can’t tell the truth about yourself, you can’t judge the truthfulness of others. Guess that’s what Scott Walker liked about Havas, he looked at her and saw someone like himself. This all ends on April 5 when Milwaukee County voters send Havas back to selling WestLaw, or maybe back to part time baby-stealing.

  2. Harold Tagart says:

This is the second, at least, press release from Havas that has the wrong date of the election…
