Milwaukee | Mandel Group, Inc. announced the development of Portfolio, a 24‐story high‐rise luxury apartment community at the northeast corner of North Prospect and East Ogden Avenues set to break ground in Spring 2017. Upon completion, Portfolio will incorporate 235 apartments and finalize the development of East Pointe, an award winning mixed‐use community which Mandel Group started developing in 1988.

Whereas recent apartment communities in downtown Milwaukee focus on the Millennial generation, the physical amenities and life‐style services at Portfolio will be geared toward empty nesters. An outdoor pool deck, fire‐pit, and lounge overlooking Lake Michigan, clubroom area with internet cafe, billiard room, fully‐equipped fitness/wellness center with yoga studio, golf‐simulator, pet spa, and dog‐run offer amenities for a generation looking to exchange home upkeep for a simpler, more accessible lifestyle. Mandel’s award‐winning property management team including24‐hour security, 24‐hour maintenance staff, and concierge services, will provide worry free care for Portfolio residents.

Portfolio’s location offers immediate connectivity to the arts, dining, and entertainment districts in downtown Milwaukee as well as the bike trails, recreational activities and events along Milwaukee’s lakefront. This connection will be further enhanced by the Milwaukee Streetcar stop one block away at Farwell and Ogden Avenues.

Portfolio includes a mix of generously proportioned and beautifully appointed studio, one‐bedroom, two‐bedroom, and three‐bedroom apartments, all with a view of Lake Michigan. Mandel Group is accepting reservations for apartments.

The building is designed by the Chicago office of Solomon Cordwell Buenz.

I’m lovin it! Hearkens back to the heyday of International movement modernism, with enough hints of the postmodern to be stylish. So much glass; so well proportioned compared to the other boxy development proposed just up the street.

Gotta give mad props for Mandel and Ghokman for being willing to rock the rectangle with their recent developments. Haters will abound, no doubt.
