Three-Time All Star Christian Yelich Teams up With Pilot Brewer at J. Leinenkugel’s Barrel Yard to Create Exclusive Limited-Release Beer

MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers will debut “Yeli’s Gold Coast 22” tropical ale at J. Leinenkugel’s Barrel Yard today, Monday, July 7, offering fans the first taste of three-time All-Star Christian Yelich’s collaboration with Leinenkugel’s Brewer Corrine Georges. The exclusive brew is a limited-release and will be available in a 16 oz. pour on game days with crowlers and commemorative 32 oz. cans on non game days.

Yelich partnered with Pilot Brewer Corrine Georges to learn about the science of brewing and to create a special beer of his own that would be served exclusively at the Barrel Yard. Inspired by Christian’s California roots, the team blended the laid-back vibes of the Gold Coast with the spirit of Wisconsin, Yelich’s home during the season. The result is a refreshing ale that bursts with pineapple and coconut flavors, wrapped up in a smooth, sweet and crispy finish.

Yelich worked with Georges on the style, taste, appearance and aroma and together they began the production phase at the onsite pilot brewery. Yelich helped during the brewing process and pitched the yeast for his brew.
