WISN 12 to Host ‘Heat And Housing For Heroes Telethon’on November 4th
The fundraising campaign will provide warmth and shelter for veterans facing life-threating, energy-related emergencies
MILWAUKEE, WI (October 28, 2025) – WISN 12 is hosting the ‘Heat And Housing For Heroes Telethon’ to assist area veterans during the frigid winter months. This initiative offers financial resources so that veterans at risk can keep their heat and power on, as well as access resources for long-term housing stability.
“Our veterans have sacrificed so much to protect the freedoms and livelihoods of each and every one of us,” says Shawn Oswald, president and general manager of WISN 12. “This is a way for Southeastern Wisconsin to share our gratitude and give back to these heroes.”
The ‘Heat And Housing For Heroes Telethon’ is part of the broader Heat And Housing For Heroes Campaign, which is a collaborative between Energy Services, Inc. and the Keep Wisconsin Warm/Cool Fund. The ongoing campaign supports veterans who face life-threatening, heat and housing related emergencies, to assist with furnace repairs, oil supply, utility bill payments, and more.
“We all know that Wisconsin winters can be brutal, so it’s essential that we band together to bring warmth and shelter to our area veterans,” adds Oswald.
