Madison, WI – Wisconsin Women in Government (WWIG), a statewide, bipartisan, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the involvement and advancement of women in government service, is now accepting applications for new members to join its Board of Directors. Selected applicants will serve a two-year term beginning in August 2025.

The WWIG Board of Directors is a volunteer-based working board that welcomes women from all backgrounds and experiences. Board members contribute their time and skills to support WWIG’s mission through committee work focused on communications, fundraising, event planning, and membership engagement.

WWIG encourages applications from:

  • Women currently working in government at the local, state, or federal level
  • Women who work with government through the private or nonprofit sector
  • Women with previous nonprofit or public service experience

“The strength of WWIG lies in the wide range of talents, perspectives, and experiences our board members bring,” said Allison Cramer, WWIG Board President. “We’re excited to welcome new leaders who share our commitment to mentorship, professional development, and expanding opportunities for women at every stage of their careers.”

Serving on the WWIG Board also offers members the chance to strengthen their own skills in communications, event planning, fundraising, and leadership—while building meaningful connections across Wisconsin’s public service landscape.

The board meets at least six times annually, and members are expected to actively participate in WWIG initiatives and events throughout the year.

How to Apply:
Interested candidates should submit a resume and a brief cover letter outlining their interest in WWIG and relevant skills to wwigquestions@gmail.com by Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
