Wisconsin Woman Sentenced to 5 Years in Prison, 7 Years Supervision for Meth Possession with Intent to Deliver

MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul announced that Erica Ducommun was sentenced by Outagamie County Circuit Court Judge Mark McGinnis to five years of initial confinement followed by seven years of extended supervision for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. Ducommun pled no contest to this offense on January 14, 2019.
In August 2017, the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group – Drug Unit (MEG), executed a search warrant in Appleton, Wisconsin for the hotel room registered to Ducommun. Investigators located 367.3 grams of crystal methamphetamine inside the hotel room safe, in addition to smaller amounts scattered around the room and her vehicle. Investigators also located a scale, drug paraphernalia, notebooks with names and amounts, and MoneyGram receipts being sent to an address in Mexico.
“Thank you to the Lake Winnebago Area MEG, Outagamie County DA, AAG Hahn, and all those who are helping fight the distribution of drugs,” said Attorney General Kaul. “Regional prosecutors focused on prosecuting drug-related offenses have made an impact in our effort to address the growing meth problem in Wisconsin.”
Assistant Attorney General Peter A. Hahn prosecuted the case as an assist for the Outagamie County District Attorney’s Office. Regional assistant attorneys general, like Hahn, were funded through 2017 Wisconsin Act 261, to assist district attorneys in prosecuting drug-related offenses.
