MADISON, WI — The Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce Kim Valenta as the new Outreach Coordinator serving South Central Wisconsin. In this role, Valenta will serve as the Chamber’s brand ambassador in Madison and the surrounding areas, including Beloit, Janesville, and other parts of the region, with a focus on supporting LGBTQ+ businesses and enhancing the Chamber’s presence through regional events and creative initiatives.

“We’re excited to welcome Kim to our team,” said Jason Rae, President & CEO of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber. “Her dedication to inclusivity and community empowerment aligns perfectly with our mission, and we’re confident she’ll play a key role in helping us expand our impact in this critical region of the state.”

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, Valenta holds degrees in Sociology, Social Work, and English, and has dedicated their career to empowering diverse populations. She brings extensive experience in outreach, volunteer management, and client services, with a background in supporting survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Her dedication to building connections and strengthening community ties reflects the Chamber’s mission and will be essential in bringing Chamber members together across South Central Wisconsin.

“I’m ecstatic to join the Chamber and to work with LGBTQ+ and allied businesses alike in South Central Wisconsin,” said Valenta. “I want to offer a supportive network that will allow businesses to achieve their goals and to grow. Together, we can create a strong community of successful diverse owned businesses.”

For those interested in meeting and connecting with Kim Valenta, she will be hosting a Coffee Connection on November 19th at the Children’s Theater of Madison. This event is a great opportunity to learn more about her vision for the region and discuss ways the Chamber can support LGBTQ+ businesses in Madison and beyond.
