Wisconsin Democrats on Gov. Evers’ 2025 State of the State Address
MADISON, Wis. — Tonight, following Gov. Tony Evers 2025 State of the State Address, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Executive Director Sarah Abel released the following statement:
“Tonight, Gov. Evers laid out a bold vision for the coming year, and Wisconsin Democrats are ready to stand with him shoulder-to-shoulder in his fight to lower costs for working families, bolster Wisconsin’s workforce, and keep our kids healthy and safe. From driving down taxes to keeping unemployment at historic lows, Gov. Evers delivered in 2024 for Wisconsin workers, but as he shared tonight, we have more work yet to do. Republican politicians in Madison now have an opportunity to work within their narrower majorities to do the right thing for Wisconsin and act on Gov. Evers’ plan to invest in mental health for our kids, lower child care costs for families, and lower costs for prescription drugs by capping the cost of insulin and cracking down on price gouging—and so much more. Should Republicans fail to meet this moment in 2025, they can be assured that Wisconsin Democrats will deliver full accountability at the ballot box in 2026.”
