Wild Wednesdays at Milwaukee Public Library
The first WILD Wednesday will be hosted on Wednesday, July 12, from 4-6 p.m
The Milwaukee Public Library will soon be hosting its Wonderfully WILD Wednesdays community programs, featuring outdoor family-friendly activities and a chance to check out a wide array of books and movies. WILD Wednesdays will be hosted at Westlawn Gardens, located at N. 64th St. between W. Silver Spring Dr. and W. Sheridan Ave.
The first WILD Wednesday will be hosted on Wednesday, July 12, from 4-6 pm. MPL staff and the Office of Early Childhood Initiatives will be there to offer information about library services and a chance to check out great books. The Betty Brinn Children’s Museum Wonder Wagon will also be there to offer kids the chance to make sidewalk art, along with other fun, hands-on activities.
The second WILD Wednesday will be hosted on Wednesday, August 16, from 4-6 pm. MPL staff will be hosting a book camp-out, including fun activities and a chance to check out books from the library. The MPD Ice Cream Truck will also be there to offer free cold treats to anyone who wants one.
During the WILD Wednesday events, staff will be on hand for card registration and to update your account. All MPL card fines will be waived.
If you are interested in checking out books and movies or using the other resources that MPL has to offer, I encourage you to go and enjoy an afternoon of family-friendly fun.
Sincerely,
Alderman Mark Chambers, Jr.
