WBB Drops Road Contest at Villanova Sunday Afternoon
Golden Eagles host St. John’s Wednesday Night
VILLANOVA, Pennsylvania – The Marquette University women’s basketball team fell at Villanova 65-53 on Sunday at Finneran Pavilion.
Skylar Forbes (12 points) and Jaidynn Mason (10 points) joined Vice in double-figures.
Villanova ended the second quarter on an 18-6 run the last eight minutes to take a 12-point lead into halftime. Marquette got it within six points three times in the second half.
Villanova (12-10, 6-4 BIG EAST) was led by Jasmine Bascoe, who had 17 points and six assists.
NOTABLES:
- Olivia Porter had a career-high 11 rebounds.
- Olivia Porter’s fifth game this season with 6-or-more assists.
- Third 20-point game of the season for Halle Vice.
- Halle Vice’s ninth game this season with 8-or-more rebounds.
- First game without a made three since Feb. 7, 2024 when MU won 52-38 over Georgetown.
