Vivent Health Receives Gift of $50,000 from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation

Gift will support improving health equity and outcomes for people living with HIV in Wisconsin

Milwaukee, Wisc. – November 10, 2020 – Vivent Health announced today that they are the recipient of a $50,000 grant award from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation. This gift will ensure over 5,000 people affected by HIV in Wisconsin will continue to have access to the quality care, treatment and prevention services needed to achieve the best possible health outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic has presented unique challenges that Vivent Health is taking decisive action to confront and overcome, including adapting its service delivery model to offer curbside food pantry pick-ups, medication deliveries, increased access to tele-health appointments and distribution of free at-home HIV test kits. The partnership with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation strengthens Vivent Health’s unwavering commitment of meeting the evolving needs of patients and clients amidst the ongoing HIV, sexually transmitted infection, opioid and COVID-19 epidemics.
