Veterans Community Project Breaks Ground in District 9

It has taken a while for this day to arrive, but District 9 and the City of Milwaukee are at last welcoming the Veterans Community Project. On Monday, October 13, the groundbreaking took place on-site at N. 60th and W. Green Tree Road. The Veterans Community Project will bring 40 small homes and a support services facility to the site, beautifying the area and offering high-quality services.

To honor the men and women who served our country with such sacrifice, this committed organization has put forth endless effort and as the lone U.S. military veteran serving on the Common Council, I greatly appreciate the commitment and effort. In order to become an invaluable asset to District 9 and the City of Milwaukee, Janice (Bell) and her team have worked extremely hard moving this project forward.
