Trump and Lackey Congressman Tom Tiffany Continue to Deny 2020 Election
MADISON, Wis. — After Trump’s shocking and false accusations about the 2020 election last night, it’s more clear than ever that his lackey, election-denier Tom Tiffany, would be extremely dangerous as governor. Previous reporting has highlighted Congressman Tiffany’s extreme record of election denialism and what it would mean for Wisconsinites to have a MAGA governor overseeing Wisconsin’s battleground presidential elections.
“Last night, Trump made a series of dangerous and false claims about the state of elections in his address to the nation. Congressman Tom Tiffany, Trump’s endorsed lackey for governor, has been by his side for all of it — from voting to overturn the 2020 election to opposing mail-in ballots as recently as this year, there’s no doubt that Tiffany would do anything to push Trump’s anti-democratic agenda on Wisconsin,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Emily Stuckey. “It would be extremely dangerous for Congressman Tiffany to be overseeing 2028 elections as governor.”

- Congressman Tom Tiffany voted to overturn President Biden’s victory in Pennsylvania and Arizona and said that he would have voted to overturn Wisconsin’s election results if a vote had been held.
- Tiffany was the only Wisconsin Republican to sign the Texas brief that sued to overturn the 2020 election results in four swing states, including Wisconsin.
- Tom Tiffany said in an interview that he doesn’t believe “we should be doing mail-in voting” in Wisconsin despite having voted absentee in 12 elections in the past 10 years.
