Track & Field Competes in Milwaukee and California Saturday

Golden Eagles host Marquette Invitational on Friday

Marquette University track & field competed at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational in Berkeley, California and the Private College Championships in Milwaukee on Saturday.

“We really took advantage of some good competition,” said Bert Rogers. “We had a handful of top-ten marks. It was a successful trip and a good step forward at this point of the season.”

  • Riley Ward finished second in the javelin with a mark of 41.24m, the second-best throw in program history.
  • Cole Donahe threw a new PR of 59.62m to finish second in the javelin, the third-best throw in program history.
  • Russell Czerwinski set a new PR in the high jump, clearing 2.05m for the seventh-best mark in program history.
  • Danny Olsen finished fifth in the 400m with a time of 47.62 seconds, the fourth-best time in program history.
  • Annika Bynum finished third in the high jump, clearing 1.70m.

WI PRIVATE COLLEGE CHAMPIONSHIPS

“It was a solid day at the private college championships,” said Bert Rogers. “We had a number of PRs and competed well overall.”

UP NEXT: Marquette hosts the Marquette Invitational on Friday, April 11 at the Melvin “Bus” Shimek Track & Field Facility at Valley Fields.
