Tom Tiffany Vows to Remove Wisconsin From the Who, Spreads Covid-19 Conspiracies as Measles Cases Rise in Wisconsin
MADISON, Wis. — In response to Governor Tony Evers announcing Wisconsin will join the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Global Response Network, Tom Tiffany said he would “immediately remove” Wisconsin from the WHO if elected governor and cited a COVID-19 conspiracy theory, saying “the WHO acted as a puppet for Communist China” during the global pandemic. This comes as Dane County confirms its second measles case after an outbreak last week.
“Even with measles making a resurgence right here in Wisconsin, Tom Tiffany is still spreading conspiracy theories that could worsen this measles outbreak and cause other public health crises,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Emily Stuckey. “Tom Tiffany is an unapologetic danger to the health of Wisconsinites.”
