Tom Tiffany Supports (Even More) Illegal Tariffs

MADISON, Wis. — Hours after the conservative U.S. Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that Donald Trump’s tariffs violate federal law, Trump unilaterally announced a ten percent global tariff tax. Tom Tiffany has enthusiastically and unapologetically supported Trump’s illegal tariff taxes that are continuing to raise prices on Wisconsinites, and have crushed small businesses and bankrupted farmers. In response, Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Emily Stuckey released the following statement:

“Tom Tiffany has been the biggest cheerleader of Trump’s tariff taxes that are driving up costs for working people, killing thousands of jobs and bankrupting family farms across Wisconsin. Now, Tariff Tom is pulling out his pom-poms to make a big show of how Trump’s illegal and whiplash-inducing new ten percent global tariff tax is the right call, and arguing that he and Trump should be able to keep crushing farmers with their illegal tariff taxes. Wisconsinites are seeing yet again how Tom Tiffany’s agenda is whatever Trump tells him to do, not what’s best for Wisconsin’s middle class and working families — and they look forward to rejecting his costly agenda in November.”
