Christian Yelich, Lorenzo Cain, Andrew McCutchen and More Join Together to Create “This One’s On Me;” Covering Fans’ Tabs Around the Five County Area

MILWAUKEE – Coming off the heels of the first-ever “Brewers Eve Bash” where Corbin Burnes surprised fans and footed the tab for the entire restaurant, Milwaukee Brewers players are taking their plans one step further. Or actually, 13 steps further.

The Brewers today announced, “This One’s On Me,” a player-led effort to extend gratitude and show their appreciation for the best fans in Major League Baseball. The Club is further rolling out additional initiatives to thank fans, such as Ticket Tuesday and Fans First, presented by UW Credit Union.

This One’s On Me
To support small businesses and thank the fans, 13 players have selected their favorite restaurants and watering holes where Brewers fans typically gather, and those players will surprise customers by covering the tab for the night. One restaurant will be selected for each of the 13 remaining Friday away games in the 2022 season and beginning at 5 p.m. that evening, customers will see their bill covered by a favorite Brewers player. The identity of each restaurant will remain a surprise until that evening; there will be no public announcement in advance. The player picking up the tab will be announced in advance, though.

“This One’s On Me” begins this Friday, April 22 with Christian Yelich covering the tab. Future dates include May 6, May 13, May 27, June 10, June 17, July 1, July 15, July 29, Aug. 12, Aug. 19, Sept. 2 and Sept. 23.

“This week it’s on me, Brewers fans! It’s just a small way of showing appreciation for the all the great support over the years. Enjoy!” said Yelich.

Ticket Tuesday
Forget Taco Tuesday. Tuesdays this season are a little more special with, “Ticket Tuesday.” Keep your eye out for the Brew Crew, Bernie Brewer and the Famous Racing Sausages as they tour around the City of Milwaukee and five surrounding counties to surprise Brewers fans. Each week the Brew Crew will distribute 1,000 ticket vouchers for the following Tuesday home game at American Family Field.

Fans First, presented by UW Credit Union
Back by popular demand, Fans First, presented by UW Credit Union, returns for the 2022 season. Every home game this season, Brewers and UW Credit Union staff will be walking around American Family Field surprising folks with ticket upgrades, concession vouchers and autographed baseballs.

Special initiatives for fan appreciation began with the exclusive ‘414 Day’ ticket offer, where the Brewers offered 5,000 tickets to the April 14 Home Opener for an unprecedented $4.14. The offer sold out in minutes with Brewers fans clamoring to celebrate ‘414 Day’ at American Family Field. The team went on to beat the St. Louis Cardinals 5-1.

Tickets for the 2022 season available at brewers.com/tickets, at 800-933-7890 or at the American Family Field Box Office.
