Tiffany & Co: Congressman Tom Tiffany Expands His Circle of Extremist Allies

MADISON, Wis. — On Saturday, October 17 GOP Congressman and candidate for Wisconsin governor Tom Tiffany is proudly choosing to appear alongside far-right MAGA Representative Brandon Gill of Texas, who in addition to being an election denier has made numerous false, racist, and white supremacist comments during his years in public life.

Gill has gained notoriety for, among other things, marketing an election conspiracy theory “documentary,” circulating a petition to deport his own colleague, claiming the United States has not benefited in any way from immigrants from Somalia, and cutting his Indian American wife out of a fundraising ad for his re-election campaign. A memo detailing Gill’s extremism can be found HERE.

Saturday’s event is far from the first time Congressman Tiffany has aligned himself with election deniers and conspiracy theorists. Last year, Congressman Tiffany attended an event with infamous election denier Michael Flynn, and, more recently, has hit the campaign trail with election denier and MAGA candidate for Wisconsin Secretary of State Jay Schroeder.

Notably, Schroeder’s agenda for Wisconsin includes changing state law to give the Secretary of State power to run elections and eliminating the bipartisan Wisconsin Elections Commission. You can read more about Schroeder’s extremism HERE.

“Appearing with extremists, election deniers, and racists is right on brand for Congressman Tiffany, and consistent with his record over his many years in politics. But that doesn’t make it any less disappointing,” A Better Wisconsin Together Deputy Director Mike Browne said in a statement.

In the aftermath of the 2020 Presidential election, Congressman Tiffany voted not to certify the election results and supported efforts to use the courts to try to overturn Trump’s loss. Years later, Tiffany still refused to admit Trump lost in 2020. Tiffany also endorsed a taxpayer-funded payout for January 6 insurrectionists.
