Three Statewide Medical Groups Recognize Rep. Deb Andraca
MADISON, Wis. — A longtime proponent of a healthier climate and affordable healthcare for all, Rep. Deb Andraca (D–Whitefish Bay) was recently honored by three statewide healthcare organizations for her work in the 2023-2024 legislative session.
Rep. Andraca received the “Early Detection Life Saver Award” from the Early Detection Save Lives Coalition.. She was also selected as a “Friend of Family Medicine” by the Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians (WAFP) and a “Friend of Home Health Care” by the Wisconsin Association for Home Health Care (WiAHC).
The Early Detection Saves Lives Coalition is made up of leading health organizations, including AdvaMed, the American Cancer Society Action Network, GE Healthcare, Medical College of Wisconsin, Rayus Radiology, Susan G. Komen, the Wisconsin Breast Cancer Coalition, the Wisconsin Primary Health Care Association, the Wisconsin Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Wisconsin Radiological Society.
The WAFP is a statewide association committed to promoting high professional and ethical standards in the practice of family medicine, and is the single largest physician speciality group in Wisconsin.
WiHAC is a statewide membership-based association that represents home health care agencies and their staff. Home health care services are skilled medical services that are provided in a patient’s residence by skilled non-physician practitioners, such as nurses, physical therapists and occupational therapists.
