(Milwaukee, WI 1/4/2019) – The Wicked Hop’s wildly popular “Wisco Inferno” Ice Bar returns on Friday January 18th to the southwest corner of St. Paul and Broadway in the Historic Third Ward..

Weather permitting, 50 blocks of ice weighing more than 7 tons will be used to construct The Wicked Hop’s outdoor ice bar, sculpted by Guinness World Record holder and master carver Max Zuleta, from Franksville-based ice sculpture studio Art Below Zero.

Patrons of Wisco Inferno will be able to enjoy the “Booze Luge”, with specialty cocktails, beer and mixed drinks in iced tumblers, as well as hot cider and hot chocolate concoctions outside of the Wicked Hop with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the ALS Association of Wisconsin and Courage MKE to help LGBTQ+ youth.

January 18th is also the first Gallery Night of 2019 in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward. Other participating Ice Bar venues are the St. Paul Fish Company on the northwest corner of St. Paul and Broadway, and Café Benelux on the southeast corner of St. Paul and Broadway.

Getting ready to celebrate their 15th anniversary, The Wicked Hop at 345 N. Broadway has been a family-owned restaurant and pub that has been a fixture in The Jewett & Sherman Merchants’ Mills building, the oldest building in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward. The building, originally constructed in 1875, is a part of the historic “Commission Row” that is central to the Third Ward’s identity. The Wicked Hop is a true Milwaukee destination, having earned city-wide awards for its signature Bloody Mary. The Jackalope Lounj, located one door south, features live entertainment – Karaoke on Sunday, Trivia on Tuesday and DJs every Friday and Saturday.
