The Wicked Hop Embraces PrideFest 2018

(Milwaukee, WI 6/4/2018) – PRIDEFEST returns to the Summerfest Grounds to kick off the festival season on Thursday June 7th. The Wicked Hop and the Jackalope Lounj on the southwest corner of St. Paul and Broadway in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, are stepping up to welcome all PRIDEFEST guests, starting with glitter cocktails all weekend long.

Thursday June 7th, the Hop is featuring TAQUERIA THURSDAY and their specialty tacos starting at 11 AM with $4 Mexican beers and $6 Margaritas. At 5 PM, there’s a piñata party, which serves as a fundraiser for Courage MKE. Courage MKE is a 501c3 non-profit organization raising awareness for LGBTQ+ youth to ensure that they have the skills, tools and resources needed to grow into successful leaders throughout the community.

Friday June 8th, enjoy The Wicked Hop’s Traditional Milwaukee Fish Fry, featuring your choice of cod, perch or bluegill and $6 Stoli Mixers. DJ E-Rich fires up the Jackalope Lounj with your favorite dance music starting at 10 PM.

Saturday June 9th, start your day with Milwaukee’s favorite brunch starting at 9 AM. There’s a Saturday Night Drag Show hosted by Sylvia Nyxx at 11 PM, featuring performers from Milwaukee and Madison. Our Saturday night music is from DJ Synymata.

On Sunday June 10th, join The Wicked Hop at the corner of Sunday Brunch and Bloody Mary for brunch beginning at 9 AM. Of course, we have a float in the PRIDE Parade beginning at 2 PM. And then head down to the Lakefront for the last day of PRIDEFEST.

Since 2004, The Wicked Hop at 345 N. Broadway has been a family-owned restaurant and pub that has been a fixture in The Jewett & Sherman Merchants’ Mills building, the oldest building in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward. The building, originally constructed in 1875, is a part of the historic “Commission Row” that is central to the Third Ward’s identity. The Wicked Hop is a true Milwaukee destination, having earned city-wide awards for its signature Bloody Mary. The Jackalope Lounj, located one door south, features live entertainment – Karaoke on Sunday, Trivia on Tuesday, Open Mic Night on Wednesday and DJs every Friday and Saturday.
