TEMPO recognizes importance of mentorship during 35th annual Mentor Awards
Statement of Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs - February 27, 2025
Today TEMPO, the largest professional women’s group in Wisconsin, celebrated their 35th Annual Mentor Awards, and I was honored to be one of the recipients. As part of this program, a contribution will be awarded to a woman at a four-year educational institution in Wisconsin to support their journey. TEMPO has awarded more than $525,000 in scholarships over the past 35 years.
The Mentor Awards event aims to recognize individuals and organizations in the community dedicated to the mentoring of others. Mentorship is vital. I cannot thank the mentors in my life enough for helping me get to where I am today, and it only seems right to pay that forward to support the next generation of leaders.I also want to say thank you to TEMPO for their continued support of women within the community, to fellow honorees Danielle Bly and Margaret Henningsen for the work they do to support others, and to all the other outstanding individuals considered to receive recognition this year.
