MILWAUKEE – The Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) has appointed Supervisor Kathleen Vincent as the new Region 11 Director, recognizing her decades-long dedication to education and school board service.

Vincent brings over 35 years of classroom teaching experience to the role, along with a deep-rooted commitment to public education. Raised in a family that valued learning, four of her parents’ nine children became teachers, a testament to the principles that have guided her career and service.

“I was taught early on that education is a lifelong pursuit and a powerful tool for building stronger communities,” said Vincent. “That belief has shaped every step of my professional journey.”

“My goal in this position is to lean into innovation, collaboration, and connection across our diverse communities. I’m looking forward to bringing people together to share best practices, elevate student success, and support the work of our local school boards.”

In addition to her extensive teaching background, Vincent serves as an advisor to the Milwaukee County Youth Commission, where she mentors the next generation of civic leaders and amplifies youth voices in local government.

Throughout her service, Vincent has gone above and beyond to expand her leadership capabilities, achieving WASB’s Member Recognition Level 5, a distinction earned through countless hours of professional development, workshops, and statewide engagement.

As Region 11 Director, she is excited to foster collaboration between rural, suburban, and urban school districts, with a focus on leading initiatives that drive meaningful educational outcomes across Wisconsin.
