Supervisor Taylor to Be Recognized for Community Service at Georgia Fashion Show
MILWAUKEE – Supervisor Sequanna Taylor will be recognized this Saturday at the 5th Annual I am Still My Sister’s Keeper Fashion Show near Atlanta, Georgia. Supervisor Taylor was chosen for this recognition along with other women leaders across the world for her continued community service and work with youth.
“It is an honor to be recognized by this incredible organization and next to these inspiring women,” Said Supervisor Taylor. “All the work I do is to help those in need, whether that is in Milwaukee County or anywhere else that I can be of service.”
In collaboration with Dream Team United, Supervisor Taylor has recently helped organize a community giveaway event at Monumental Missionary Baptist Church—where the public was able to receive free household goods—as well as a winter gear drive in December and a free Thanksgiving feast in November.
She also traveled to both Texas and Mississippi during the winter storms to personally distribute essential goods such as winter clothes, food, and snow removal supplies.
The I Am Still My Sister’s Keeper Fashion Show is an annual event organized by its Founder and CEO, LaTonya Baker. In addition to being a fashion show, the event celebrates women that have opened doors, pushed the limits, and made contributions to their communities. Previous events have brought awareness to important topics such as domestic violence.
