Supervisor Priscilla E. Coggs-Jones Appointed to Serve on Milwaukee County Parks and Culture Committee

MILWAUKEE – Supervisor Priscilla E. Coggs-Jones was appointed last month by Chairwoman Marcelia Nicholson to serve on the Milwaukee County Parks and Culture Committee. In this role, Supervisor Coggs-Jones will contribute to the Committee’s oversight of park management and improvement efforts. The Committee is chaired by Supervisor Sheldon Wasserman.

As the representative of the 13th Supervisory District, Supervisor Coggs-Jones is responsible for several key parks, including:

Beckum Park – 900 W. Brown St.
Carver Park911 W. Brown St.
Gordon Park – 2828 N. Humboldt Blvd.
Lucille Berrien Park3629 N. 16th St.
Milwaukee River Parkway
Moody Park2201 W. Auer Ave.
Pleasant Valley Park1229 E. Concordia Ave.
Rose Park – 3045 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.
Roverwest Dog Park3243 N. Weil St.

“I am proud to join the Parks Committee and look forward to working collaboratively to activate and enhance our parks in Milwaukee,” said Supervisor Coggs-Jones. “Our parks are essential to the well-being of our community, and I am committed to ensuring that they are vibrant, accessible, and serve the needs of all residents as the King Advisory Inc. Board did with the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Back to School Festival last month.”
