Supervisor Martin Elected Vice-President of Wisconsin Extension Association Board
MILWAUKEE – County Supervisor Felesia A. Martin was recently elected Vice-President of the Wisconsin Extension Association (WEXA) Board of Directors.
“I am proud to serve on the Wisconsin Extension Association Board of Directors and thank my fellow board members for electing me Vice-President,” said Supervisor Martin. “I am thrilled to be able to connect with members from different counties and use this platform to advance Milwaukee County’s vision of becoming the healthiest county by achieving racial equity.”
As a member of the board, Supervisor Martin will provide leadership in identifying and initiating new UW-Extension programs in rural and urban areas, and in carrying out existing programs. She will also provide counsel to county extension committees and UW-Extension administration on policies, programs, budgets, staff, office space, and facilities.
UW-Extension provides educational programs in the areas of agriculture, community development, human development and relationships, health and well-being, natural resources, and positive youth development.
WEXA provides a forum for Wisconsin counties to consider problems and policies concerning UW-Extension programs across the state.
All Wisconsin counties are members of WEXA.
