Supervisor Johnson Encourages Residents to Explore Department of Corrections Career Opportunities this Thursday

MILWAUKEE – Supervisor Willie Johnson, Jr. encourages residents to attend an upcoming informational session hosted by Employ Milwaukee this Thursday, April 25th, focusing on career prospects within the Department of Corrections.  This event offers an opportunity for individuals interested in public service to learn about diverse employment options within the department. These options range from social work and administrative support to roles such as probation and parole agents, nurses, correctional officers, and more.

“As we navigate the complexities of community safety and rehabilitation, this session offers invaluable insights into the crucial roles played by our public servants in the Department of Corrections. I encourage everyone to seize this opportunity to explore careers that contribute directly to the well-being and progress of our community” said Supervisor Johnson.

Niel Thoreson, the Department of Corrections Regional Chief, will be in attendance to provide insight into the department’s operations and the diverse career pathways it offers.
