Stritch Hosting Naturalization Ceremony Monday, October 28; More than 140 to become United States citizens
A total of 145 candidates from 50 nations will take the Oath of Allegiance and become United States Citizens at the ceremony.
The Milwaukee U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) office, along with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin and Cardinal Stritch University, will host a special naturalization ceremony Monday, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m. in the Sister Camille Kliebhan Conference Center on the Stritch campus at 6801 N. Yates Rd., Milwaukee.
A total of 145 candidates from 50 nations will take the Oath of Allegiance and become United States Citizens at the ceremony. Judge Beth E. Hanan, United States Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Wisconsin, will preside at the ceremony. Stritch President Kathleen A. Rinehart, J.D., will deliver remarks to the candidates and their guests. Michael Valverde, USCIS Deputy Associate Director for Field Operations Directorate, will make the motion to accept the new citizens.
The ceremony is open to the public.
