Statement on the passing of Junior Bridgeman
Alderman Lamont Westmoreland March 12, 2025
Ulysses “Junior” Bridgeman was the definition of excellence – on the court, in business, and in life. As a Milwaukee Buck for 10 seasons, he embodied hard work and consistency, averaging 13.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game in a Bucks uniform. His impact was so great that his No. 2 jersey rightfully hangs in the rafters at Fiserv Forum, a permanent reminder of his contributions to the franchise and the city.
Beyond basketball, Junior was a visionary entrepreneur and a proud minority owner of the Bucks, showing that success comes from dedication and smart leadership. But more than anything, he was a role model – a man of integrity, humility, and kindness.
My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Doris, and their children, Eden, Justin, and Ryan. His legacy will forever be a part of Milwaukee, and he will always be remembered as one of the best to ever wear a Bucks jersey.
