The City of Milwaukee Office of Violence Prevention (OVP) offers our deepest condolences to all who lost a family member, friend, neighbor, or loved one in the horrific mass shooting that occurred in the home on North 21st and Wright Streets this weekend. Our thoughts are with you in this time of grief and healing.
The Office of Violence Prevention remains steadfast in our mission to prevent violence within our city, and this is a mission that requires support from the whole community. We are calling for our partners and the community-at-large to mobilize the resources and support consistent for families and communities devastated by mass shootings. While understandably difficult in horrific moments like these, we ask community members to not lose faith in our collective ability to grieve, heal, and prevent future acts of gun violence.
