Shilling Statement on Foxconn
"Foxconn has a troubling record of environmental violations and workplace abuses."
MADISON, WI – As Gov. Walker continues to prioritize Foxconn over Wisconsin-based businesses, Senator Jennifer Shilling (D-La Crosse) released the following statement:
“It’s clear Gov. Walker wants to shore up his political future, but I don’t agree with this rush to sell out Wisconsin families and jeopardize access to clean air, land and drinking water. Foxconn has a troubling record of environmental violations and workplace abuses. With billions of taxpayer dollars at stake, this rush to rubberstamp air pollution permits, water diversion requests and land condemnations is putting the health and safety of Wisconsin families at risk.”

If they try to implement workplace abuses here, they will have a very high turnover rate. Then they will end up hiring temp employees from temp agencies. So much for having jobs that pay a living wage. The ball’s in their court to treat people right, provide reasonable benefits with good wages if they plan to have a successful business in Wisconsin. Creating jobs with poor wages is Walkers legacy in Wisconsin.
Welcome to the Third World Wisconsin! Nothing sctlreams prosperity and freedom like slaving away in a Chinese factory for the rest of your life. Thank Career Politician Scott Walker and Republicans! All it cost we the taxpayers was 4.5 Billion in Corporate Welfare. What a deak! I hope FoxCON at least puts in suicide nets like they do in China.
Dump Walker 2018!
Let’s create a real economy, not try to buy one before an election.
