Senator Jodi Habush Sinykin Sworn in as State Senator to Represent the 8th Senate District of Wisconsin
MADISON, WI – Today, Senator Jodi Habush Sinykin (D-Whitefish Bay) took the oath of office for her first term as State Senator of Wisconsin’s 8th Senate District. The ceremony took place in the Senate Chambers at the Wisconsin State Capitol. Senator Habush Sinykin is one of six new members to join the growing Senate Democratic Caucus.
“I ran for public office to lend a common-sense, productive voice in the state Legislature, as needed to work together and to keep our state of Wisconsin moving forward. Over the course of my campaign, I met with thousands of people across the 8th Senate District and beyond, sharing conversations about the importance of keeping our Wisconsin communities safe and thriving, appropriately funding our public schools and UW system, and protecting our treasured natural resources for present and future generations. I will continue to hold these conversations close to my heart as I begin my term as a State Senator.
“While taking the oath of office today, I was moved by the passion and commitment to Wisconsin from my colleagues on both sides of the aisle. I look forward to working with them towards meaningful progress to help build a stronger Wisconsin.”
