MADISON, WI – Tonight, Senator Jodi Habush Sinykin (D-Whitefish Bay) attended Governor Tony Evers’ seventh State of the State Address. The Governor addressed Wisconsin’s progress and opportunities for further success, announcing 2025 to be ‘The Year of the Kid.’ As detailed in his address, the Governor encouraged policymakers to pursue policy that would create a better Wisconsin for our children.
Senator Habush Sinykin released the following statement:
“Tonight’s State of the State Address was uplifting and energizing. Governor Evers and his Administration have worked tirelessly to lay the groundwork to build an economy that works for all of us. I am ready to build upon this momentum with my colleagues in the State Senate and deliver the common-sense solutions the people of Wisconsin have been waiting for.
“I am particularly pleased to see the Governor work to provide real, responsible tax relief for Wisconsin families and fight for meaningful investments for our future generations. It is essential that we build the necessary infrastructure for strong public schools, stable housing, safe communities, and job opportunities, which will help our kids become the next generation of leaders. With strategic and intentional policy planning we can find ways to invest in our future leaders and generations, provide opportunities for growth, and help put Wisconsinites in positions to succeed.”
