Senator Baldwin Statement Commemorating Third Anniversary of the Waukesha Christmas Parade Tragedy
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) released the following statement on the third anniversary of the Waukesha Christmas Parade tragedy.
“Three years ago, the Waukesha community was devastated by a senseless act of violence, claiming the lives of six and injuring scores of others. I know that for many, these wounds are not healed – and may never be – but know this: Wisconsin has your back and is here to help rebuild and heal,” said Senator Baldwin. “As we reflect upon and honor the lives taken far too soon, we also remember the courage, resilience, and compassion that emerged in the face of darkness and tragedy. Today, and every day, my heart is with all those mourning a loved one or neighbor, and I stand with the Waukesha community as we work to move forward.”
