Senate Democratic Leader Reacts to Republican Medical Marijuana Proposal
MADISON, Wis – Today, Assembly Republicans announced a highly restrictive plan to legalize marijuana for medicinal purposes in Wisconsin. Senate Democratic Leader Dianne Hesselbein (D-Middleton) released the following statement:
“We do not need the most restrictive medicinal program in the nation, we need the most effective.
“I look forward to reviewing the proposal in greater detail and working with community stakeholders and advocates to ensure this proposal prioritizes the needs of patients.”
