(MADISON)—Today, Senator Tim Carpenter (D-Milwaukee) was named a Conservation Champion by the Wisconsin Conservation Voters. He issued the following statement:

“I’m honored to be recognized as a Conservation Champion and to earn a 100 percent score on the Conservation Scorecard. I prioritize clean air, clean water, and a healthy democracy. The environment belongs to all of us, and it is up to all of us to be good stewards over these shared resources. That’s why I will continue to vote according to my conservation principles to secure a sustainable future for generations to come.

“The decisions we make today will have a profound impact on our future. Justice demands that we leave a world where future generations can thrive. I’m committed to supporting legislation that leads to a just and sustainable future, and I look forward to continuing work with the Wisconsin Conservation Voters on environmental stewardship policies. “
