Schlitz Audubon Nature Center Hosts Xtreme Raptor Day on November 4
Milwaukee, WI – Fifteen resident birds of prey headline Schlitz Audubon Nature Center’s Xtreme Raptor Day on Saturday, November 4, 2023. The annual event takes place from 10:00am – 4:00pm at 1111 E Brown Deer Rd, Milwaukee.
This will be the first Xtreme Raptor Day for Zari, a Great Horned Owl who joined Schlitz Audubon late last year.
Attendees will receive a passport to participate in a Talon Quest Adventure Hike on our trails, where they will see and learn about our different birds and their species.
This event supports our Raptor Program, which educates the community about the importance of wildlife and habitat conservation with the help of our non-releasable birds.
Some of the other activities that attendees will enjoy:
-
- Raptor shows with a free flight demonstration
- Make window decals and learn how to reduce window collisions
- Register for a personal raptor meet & greet and photo
Xtreme Raptor Day is $18 for adults and $5 for youth. This event will take place rain or shine.
