MILWAUKEE, WI — The Wisconsin Bike Fed is proud to announce the return of Ride Across Wisconsin (RAW) to Eau Claire on Saturday, July 11, 2026, marking the 11th year of Wisconsin’s premier long-distance cycling event. Riders from across the Midwest and beyond will gather once again at Phoenix Park, where all routes will begin and end, to experience a day of unforgettable cycling through the heart of western Wisconsin.

This year’s event features a loop-style format that highlights the stunning waterways surrounding the confluence of the Eau Claire River. Known for its smooth roads, inviting trails, and breathtaking scenery, Eau Claire offers an ideal backdrop for RAW.

“Cycling around Eau Claire offers a scenic and enjoyable experience, with a mix of well-maintained roads, trails, and picturesque views,” explains Bike Fed Event Manager, Heather Rainer. “The city is surrounded by lush forests, rolling hills, and rivers, creating a perfect backdrop for cyclists.”

In 2026, Bike Fed is excited to introduce a new 60-mile RAW route, joining the event’s traditional long-distance options. Riders can choose from the following routes:

  • 175-Mile Loop: Designed for endurance riders seeking an epic challenge, the 175-mile loop showcases the very best of western Wisconsin. Rolling out from Eau Claire, this route travels south through Eau Claire, Buffalo, and Trempealeau Counties, weaving through winding river valleys, peaceful rural roads, and charming small towns. A standout highlight is the iconic Dells Mill, a historic and picture-perfect landmark beloved by cyclists and photographers alike.
  • 100-Mile Loop: Perfect for riders looking for a rewarding century without heading all the way to the Mississippi River, the 100-mile loop splits east while the 175-mile riders continue south. This route dives into quiet countryside and classic Eau Claire County backroads, delivering beauty, flow, and a sense of escape. Riders will also enjoy a stop at the beloved Dells Mill, a shared highlight of all long routes.
  • New 60-Mile Loop: The newly introduced 60-mile option offers a scenic and satisfying adventure for riders who want the RAW experience at a shorter distance. Branching off earlier than the longer routes, this loop heads east into peaceful countryside before reconnecting near Dells Mill, where riders join the return journey back to Eau Claire alongside the longer-distance participants.
  • Family Ride: RAW also offers a family-friendly urban ride, covering approximately 12–14 miles depending on street and trail conditions. This relaxed route travels along city bike trails, neighborhood streets, and includes a 1.5-mile section of gravel trail. Known as the “City of Bridges,” Eau Claire provides a memorable setting as riders cross several bridges along the way. Participants should be comfortable riding in a group at an average speed of 10–12 mph.

After crossing the finish line, riders will be welcomed back to Phoenix Park for a post-ride celebration. Participants can relax, refuel, and celebrate their accomplishment with a taco bar and refreshing beverages, making the finish just as memorable as the ride itself. With river views and fellow riders swapping stories, the post-ride party is the perfect way to cap off the RAW experience.

With its welcoming community, scenic landscapes, and vibrant riverfront setting, Eau Claire sets the stage for a memorable celebration of cycling. Ride Across Wisconsin 2026 promises challenge, beauty, camaraderie, and great food – all in one incredible day on the bike.
