Representative Taylor Hosts Capitol Call to Action to Address Domestic Violence and Strengthen Support for Survivors

MADISON, WI – Representative Sequanna Taylor (D–Milwaukee) will host a Capitol Call to Action: Legislative Advocacy Against Domestic Violence at the Wisconsin State Capitol on October 30th, 2025 bringing together advocacy organizations, community leaders, and policymakers to advance solutions to end domestic violence and uplift survivors across Wisconsin. Rep. Taylor releases the following statement:

““This is about ensuring that every survivor and every family has the safety, support, and justice they deserve.

“We cannot afford to stay silent when lives are at risk. The Capitol Call to Action is about coming together, advocates, legislators, and community members, to push for lasting change.”

From 10:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m., domestic violence advocacy groups and community organizations will visit legislators’ offices to discuss policy priorities and share firsthand experiences from those working on the front lines of prevention and support.

The day will culminate with a program beginning at 12:00 p.m., featuring keynote speaker, Ms. Carrie Scott-Haney and remarks from community advocates and elected leaders. The program will focus on strengthening partnerships, increasing resources for survivors, and promoting prevention efforts statewide.
