Rep. Margaret Arney Reacts to Governor Evers’ Budget Address
(MADISON, Wis) – On the evening of Tuesday, February 18th, Governor Evers gave his 2025 Budget Address before a joint session of the Wisconsin Legislature, outlining his legislative priorities for the 2025-2027 budget cycle. Rep. Margaret Arney (Milwaukee/Wauwatosa) released the following statement in response:
What most excites me about Governor Evers’ budget is his investments in public education, expansion of BadgerCare, investment in local infrastructure, and reducing harmful lead contamination in water, homes, and buildings. I believe that, Republican or Democrat, we can find common ground to do what is right for the people of Wisconsin by ensuring quality healthcare, a first-rate education, and clean, safe drinking water.
The Governor’s biennial budget reflects a commitment to the well-being of all Wisconsin residents, ensuring a stronger and more prosperous future for our state. In the coming weeks I will be talking to people from my district about how the budget addresses their needs and what we might be able to do to make the budget even better.
