Rep. Jimmy Anderson calls out SB 275 the Punitive “Sanctuary Cities” Bill

"This legislation does nothing more than target vulnerable communities."

Madison – Today the Senate Committee on Labor and Regulatory Reform will hear SB 275 which will punish so called “Sanctuary Cities” that do not aid federal officials with deportations and customs enforcement.

“SB 275 is bad for Wisconsin. This legislation does nothing more than target vulnerable communities. It won’t improve our economy, it won’t save manufacturing jobs, and it won’t make our communities safer. What it will do is hurt businesses, disrupt families, and leave Wisconsin more divided. Let’s choose to invest in our kids and our communities instead of President Trump’s empty campaign promises.”
