MADISON – Last night, Governor Tony Evers delivered a powerful State of the State Address, outlining a bold vision to uplift working families, strengthen communities, and create a brighter future for Wisconsin.

“Governor Evers reminded us why leadership rooted in compassion and action matters,” said Representative Russell Antonio Goodwin, Sr. (D-Milwaukee). “He has a plan to help Wisconsin families rise above the challenges they face—whether it’s providing better healthcare, addressing reckless driving, or making critical investments in education and infrastructure. His leadership gives us hope—and hope is exactly what people need right now.”

Goodwin emphasized his commitment to ensuring the governor’s vision becomes reality.

“I will do my best to stand shoulder to shoulder with Governor Evers until his vision for Wisconsin is fully realized,” Goodwin said. “This is about creating a state where every family feels seen, supported, and secure. I’m ready to work tirelessly to help make this happen.”

“Together, we can move Wisconsin forward. This is our time to rise, and I’m honored to be part of the effort to turn Governor Evers’ vision into action,” Goodwin concluded.
