Rep. Deb Andraca Reacts to Governor Evers’ Biennial Budget Address
MADISON, Wis. — Governor Evers announced a biennial state budget that uses a record $7 billion surplus to make sound investments in Wisconsin’s future. Representative Deb Andraca (D-Whitefish Bay) issued the following statement in response to the Governor’s speech:
“With a record-breaking $7.1 billion surplus, Wisconsin is in its best fiscal shape in history. The Governor’s plan uses some of this surplus to provide tax breaks to middle-class families while at the same time restoring funding for education, local governments, and public safety.
“I look forward to hearing from my constituents about how these proposals can make a difference in their everyday lives, and I welcome the opportunity to work with my Republican colleagues,” said Andraca. “It’s time for all of us to come together to create a budget that reflects our Wisconsin values and builds a brighter future for our state.”
