Prescription for help: Looming closing of key Walmart location spurs Wellness Event
Alderman Chambers urges affected pharmacy customers to explore options
When the Walmart at Timmerman Plaza (10330 W. Silver Spring Dr.) closes on March 10, possibly thousands of people who rely on the store’s pharmacy will be without those vital services – potentially putting their health (or even their lives) at risk.
“The Timmerman Plaza Walmart closing is happening in just a few weeks, and I am urging people who use their pharmacy services to plan early, so that they aren’t without their medications or the vital pharmacy counseling they need,” Alderman Chambers said.
On February 8, Walmart announced suddenly that it would close the store at 10330 W. Silver Spring Dr., leaving thousands – including Alderman Chambers – without a nearby option for pharmacy services and nutritious foods (groceries).
To contact the Hayat location at 84th and Silver Spring, individuals can call 414-509-2222.
