MILWAUKEE, WI (January 30, 2026) – Monday, February. 2, a new part of the I-94 East/West construction project will shut down the 27th Street Bridge over the interstate and the I-94 eastbound exit to 26th Street/St. Paul Avenue.

Both closures, in addition to the previous shut down of the 16th Street bridge, will impact how guests and team members are able to get to Potawatomi Casino Hotel. Potawatomi officials have been working closely in the past several months with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, City of Milwaukee, and the Milwaukee Country Transit System to explore alternate routes.

These are the suggested detour routes for people traveling on I-94:

From the West (Eastbound on I-94)

Exit at 13th Street (Exit 310A) and follow posted signs. Turn south (right) onto 13th Street, which becomes Emmber Lane, and turn west (right) onto W Canal Street.

From the East (Westbound on I-94)

Continue to use the 25th Street/Clybourn exit (310B) and stay to the left to merge onto 25th Street, at the traffic circle, take the second exit onto W Canal Street.

Alternately, use the 35th Street (Exit 310A). Turn right (north) onto 35th Street. Take the next right (east) onto Mt. Vernon Avenue. In three blocks turn right (south) onto 32nd Street. In a ½ mile turn left (east) onto Canal Street.
